    Getting started with Tradeshift

    Welcome! This guide will show you what to do when your customer invites you to join Tradeshift. You may have already received information from your customer regarding their pending use of Tradeshift for invoicing or document exchange. In this case, please do not create an account on your own. Wait for the invitation from your customer.


    This is how the typical account activation process goes:

    STEP 1: RECEIVE INVITATION

    Activating your Tradeshift account is easy. It begins with an invitation, initiated by your customer, for you to activate your account and join the Tradeshift network.


    Watch your inbox for an e-mail from supplierinvitation@tradeshift.com inviting you to join the Tradeshift network. In case you did not receive this email, please check your spam folder. If it's still not there, contact your customer or your IT manager in order to check if emails from the Tradeshift domain is allowed. 


    Simply click the Activate your account button in the email to proceed with activating your account.


    STEP 2: COMPLETE ACTIVATION FORM

    Clicking the activation button will take you to the Tradeshift registration page, where you will have to validate and enter some information about your company. Your business name and country may already be pre-filled, if your customer has provided this information to us. If not, enter your company name and select the country you are in. Note that choosing your country is final, and cannot be changed later. Optionally, you can include more information about your company, like its size and industry. 


    At the next step, you will be asked create a user on the Tradeshift platform that will be associated with your company, and which you will use to log in to Tradeshift. Your name and email address may be pre-filled. If not, enter the name of your user as you would like it to appear on Tradeshift, and the email address you will use to log in. Add a password, select your language, review and agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and you’ll be set to activate your account! Note that you can choose to receive our marketing communications from this screen. Once this form is full, click “Create Account” and you’re done!


    STEP 3: WELCOME TO YOUR ACCOUNT!

    Once the form is completed, you will be taken straight into your Tradeshift account! The next step is to go to your company profile through the Profile App, and complete further information about your company, such as tax ID (many customers require this information in order for you to invoice them).     You can access further useful information about your customer’s Tradeshift project in their dedicated landing page, accessible from the Support app.




    You can also access video courses about using the platform at Tradeshift Universityour e-learning center, where you can find out more about invoicing your customer, contacting Tradeshift Support, and many other topics. You can find the University App in the app launcher, after you log into the Tradeshift platform.
